Our fully qualified optometrist will explain your test results to you and recommend the best spectacles or contact lenses for your optical needs.
Our Dispensing Optician and business owner Graham Legg, who has over 40 years optical experience, will help you select frames and give advice on types of lenses in an individual, unhurried way. Darien Smith (former rock star, just come in and ask) is also on hand to give advice.
We believe that our patients having great vision and looking fantastic in their spectacles is the best advertising for what we do.

our history
The building in which we are situated, was first occupied by Macfisheries the fishmonger in the early 1900s and since then it has been owned by a couple of building societies, the last one being Nationwide. Izone relocated from County Square shopping centre on the 28th of September 2015 and moved into its new home in Bank Street opposite the post office and next door to Lesley’s Florist.

Izone Opticians supplies lenses from high quality major lens suppliers including the Essilor Varilux range, Hoya, Kodak and Zeiss. Being independent and free from corporate restrictions, we can supply what we feel is best for the patient.
We are proud to be listed as an official retailer for iconic, stylish brands such as Oakley, Nike and Ted Baker. This means that you are guaranteed a genuine product and a manufacturer’s warranty for any product that you buy from us.
In addition, we stock beautiful quality British designed award winning frame ranges such as Cocoa Mint and Land Rover, amongst others and keep an eye on the latest fashions and trends to give our patients a wide range of stylish frames to choose from.
Izone also likes to stock more unusual styles such as the brightly coloured frames from Ronit Furst, as seen being worn by Prue Leith on Great British Bake Off.
We were the first stockist of the excellent quality Bigatmo sunglasses, specialist polarised light weight sunglasses specifically designed for aviation and sport. Each frame is hand polished and unique. We also stock many other affordable and popular brands of sunglasses including Oakley and Zeal.
